Review: Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions All-over Clearing Treatment

Hi Earthlings. How are you?

In this post, I’m going to write a review about a product that I accidentally picked at the Isle of Doom when I went shopping at Sephora few months ago. It was definitely an impulse buy because I usually read bunch of reviews before I make any skin care purchase but not this time. Well, that’s something about Isle of Doom that you can never explain. You just grab things from there and head to the cashier. Huh? The product that I accidentally picked was the Clinique anti-blemish solutions all-over clearing treatment. Mouthful right?

I’m sold the moment I read anti-blemish solutions all-over clearing treatment. Oh my, you have no idea how I’m struggling with blemishes, it’s a never-ending battle. So, usually when I see a product that claims to be anti blemishes, I’m almost certain I can’t say no. I feel like I have to try everything on the market, hoping someday I’ll find something that can really help me. That’s a little something about my number 1 insecurities; my skin.

I got mine in the 30ml tube and I did not buy the full size product because I think it’s smart to test it out first before I commit to the full size. I bought this moisturizer last Mei, and I’m almost finished with it. Whenever I write a review, I like to test out all the products (skin care especially) for few months before I can come out with my thoughts on the products. This is to ensure that I can give fair reviews to all the products I used.

Product description:

Lightweight, soothing formula helps treat existing blemishes, prevent future breakouts, control excess oil. Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions All Over Clearing Treatment creates a barrier against blemish-causing agents. Lightly hydrates to minimize dryness and peeling.

Direction of use: Use it AM and PM after toning and before makeup.

What I’m looking for in a moisturizer?

  1. Light weight
  2. Blemishes control
  3. Oil free but still hydrates a bit
  4. Great for sensitive skin

Packaging

It comes in a squeeze tube. The packaging is simple and sleek at the same time. I like the touch of silver on the cap. Looks alluring to me.

Texture

The moisturizer is white in color but spreads clear on skin. If you can see in the picture, the consistency is a little bit runny.

Overall thoughts

Let’s talk about whether it has everything that I wanted in a moisturizer. I think because of its texture (runny), I find that it is very lightweight and it does absorb into the skin quite fast. Although it feels lightweight, I do feel like my face feels a little bit sticky afterward. Just a little bit, nothing that annoys me so much.

Does it really control blemishes?

My current skin condition with makeup.

As much as I wanted it to work on me, it definitely did nothing to help control my blemishes. I’ve tested it for more than 6 weeks, it does not worsen my skin condition but it also doesn’t help to improve my skin condition. I read that it works wonder for some people but not for me. Some even claims that this is their HG moisturizer. What about me? I’m back on the market looking for my HG moisturizer.

For the entire oily woman out there, this is an awesome moisturizer for woman with our skin types. For me, this Clinique anti-blemish solution did not completely mattify my skin, but it sort of gives me dewy finish. My face still became oily but it’s controllable. And if you have sensitive skin, this moisturizer should be okay for you because I find that it does react harshly on my skin.

Would I repurchase?

No. Not that it’s not great but I just did nothing to help with my blemishes.
