March 2015 Favourite: Sephora Daily Makeup Brush Cleaner

Yeah. It’s March monthly favorite. It’s a little bit overdue and I’m so sorry. In this March’s favorite, I will write about Daily Makeup Brush Cleaner by my best friend, Sephora. Haha. Yeah, Sephora is my best friend. She’s your best friend too right?

What does the product do?

As the name suggests, you can use this product to clean your makeup brushes daily. For example, I like to use it to clean my eye makeup brushes. I don’t have 2 sets of Sigma E25 brush and this Daily Makeup Brush Cleaner really save my day when I can just simply spray it all over the bristles of the brush and leave it to air dry over night and the next morning it’s ready to be used.

In my opinion, I think it’s really good for a quick spot clean. Based from reviews that I read, people used this product to clean their face makeup brushes but I don’t do that because I have acne prone skin and that’s a risk I’m not willing to take. But if you think that it’s fine not to deep clean your face makeup brushes, go ahead and try. Let me know about it.

My take on the product:

I think it’s so easy to use. You just need to spray 3-4 times on the bristles and then just swirl it on a lint-free cloth. If there’s still color on the cloth, repeat the process until there’s no color transfers on the cloth. Easy right?

It smells really nice and clean. I do feel like it does dries out some of my brushes a little bit and I think that really depends on what kind of bristles your brushes have. For example, it works perfectly fine with my Sigma E25 but with my Zoeva 227 soft definer brush, the bristles became really dry. So, that’s something to keep in mind.

This is a video of quick demo that I did. As you can see in the video, the brush that I used is pretty large and even after 2 applications you can still see gunk on the brush.
