Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation Review
I made a promise to myself not to abandon my blog but since it’s festive month, which is the Eid Al Fitr, I got pretty occupied and I just couldn’t find the time for my blog. I wonder how blogger like Sabrina Tajuddin and Sabby Prue can find the time to update their blog during time like this. It must’ve taken a lot of discipline huh?
Anyway, before the Eid Al Fitr, I decided to purchase a new foundation that was recommended by a MUA and according to her, it’s the best foundation she has ever used. It’s the new Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation. Nars products are a little bit on the pricey side and I just couldn’t get myself to spend nearly RM200 on a foundation. Fortunately, while I was browsing Carousell, I stumbled upon somebody who wanted to let go the foundation and lucky me the foundation is in my shade, which is Punjab. So, I saved nearly RM30.

Direction of use: Make sure to shake the bottle well. Then, you can either use your hand or any foundation brush to blend it out.
You know how all Nars product’s packaging look like. It’s simple and sleek but looks luxurious at the same time. This foundation comes in a sturdy glass bottle and a black cap. The cap gets dirty pretty easy though. This foundation also comes with a pump, it is something everybody feeling thankful for because Nars Sheer Glow Foundation does not come with a pump.
What I’m looking for in a foundation?
- Medium to full coverage
- Blend – able
- Long wearing
- Non comedogenic
- Suitable for oily skin
I must say, the texture is very runny and does not look really pigmented. When I first look at it, I wonder how can this foundation provide me any coverage? When you use the pump, you will get a small dollop of products and according to so many beauty gurus, one pump is enough for your whole face. I doubted it at first and I was so wrong. One pump is really all it needs to give me medium to full coverage.
My overall thoughts
I’m blown away by the performance of this foundation. But before I go on and tell you why I am obsessed with this foundation, you should know that I only have 3 foundations that can be considered as high end or middle range foundations. One by Tarte, the second by Bare Minerals and Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation is the latest foundation in my shy collection. So, I can’t make much comparison between Nars All Day Luminous Weightless foundation with any other high-end foundation on the market.
Yes, the price of this foundation is quite steep and it seems ridiculous to spend that much money on foundation but in my humble opinion, if you have problematic skin (acne scars, pimples, hyperpigmentation), you want to achieve flawless finish; the money you’ll spend on this foundation will be worth it. With just one pump, I got medium to full coverage depending on what tools I use. I usually just use my Sigma F82 or F84 brush to blend it out but when I’m in rush, I’ll just my hand and trust me, it’ll blend nicely. That’s something that couldn’t be achieved with any other foundation I have ever used.
Before you get overly excited, you should know that I think this foundation is not really for people with really dry skin because it’ll accentuate the dryness and make it looks patchy. I know this because my skin around my nose is quite dry and I find it difficult to blend the foundation on that area.
Is it really long wearing? The weather in Malaysia is ridiculously hot and humid. That makes it really difficult to maintain my foundation but I think the longevity of this foundation is quite ok. It’s not the best but with primer, I think it can last up until 8-10 hours.
I’m not sure whether this foundation is non comedogenic or not but I’m pretty sure that it is because my pores aren’t as clogged as before. I get less white heads and my skin seems to like the formulation of this foundation even though some people say that it contains too much silicone.
The best thing about this foundation is it’s so lightweight and I can’t really tell that I’m wearing foundation. It looks like my skin even though I know it’s not. The finishes it gives is so beautiful; radiant without looking too dewy. You get what I mean? It looks like I’m glowing from within. What more can you ask right?
Will I repurchase? Yes!!!
